This Koblenz shop vac has durable features such as shell and tubing. It has good suction with the option to blow. The power button is on top, easy to get to. This is an easy size to work with. The hose diameter is large, yet is small enough to allow the use of some home vacuum cleaner hoses. I was able to use an old vacuum cleaner hose to put on the end of the hose to vacuum my car. The large tube that this comes with is not as flexible for vacuuming cars, but large enough for more demanding jobs.Unfortunately there are some weaknesses, not deal breakers.The electrical cord is shorter than competitorsThe canister latch is not substantial in its latching (personally don’t like it)There is no storage bag to store equipment parts so I am using a clear bag from a comforter I savedThe hose storage clips are not tall enough to keep the hose wrapped around the canister.While this will work for me in my garage for my smaller jobs, the bottom line is that there are similarly priced, name brand competitors with better features.

I ordered this Koblenz shop vac to use in my shop, for vacuuming out my cars, and just general use around the house. I was happily surprised at the suction power. My expectations were low as it is not a huge unit, although it is rated at 5.5hp. It was definitely more powerful than I expected for a smaller unit.I’ve got a ~30 year old Craftsman 5.0hp that I compared it to and it’s close to that one but not quite as powerful. The hoses aren’t as large of a diameter as the old Craftsman which will limit the size of items it can suck up. Also, I think the way motors are rated these days is different but that at least gives you some comparison.I’m very happy with the Koblenz as it is almost the suction power of my old Craftsman but much easier to move around at about 1/2 the size. I posted a video of using it to suck up some sawdust from my radial arm saw along with vacuuming out my 4Runner. It did a fine job on both and I have no major complaints. I also vacuumed the shop floor, an entry door rug (contractor type from Sam’s Club), and more but didn’t bother videoing all the other work. I figured what I did was more than enough for you to get an idea of how loud it it is and how well it suctions stuff up. It worked good everywhere I’ve used it and I continue to use it whenever I need it.You can see in the first part of video that the hose fits pretty lose to the motor. At first, I thought this loose fit was going to be an issue but it is not. I don’t know why they made it fit that loose but all seemed to work just fine.Putting on the wheels was super easy. Just push them in to the base and it doesn’t take a lot of force. I “kind of” (not really) like being able to clip the attachments to the main body. My gripe is that it doesn’t take much to knock them off as you move it around. I had to put them back on 3 or 4 times as I worked around the shop with it. That part is not so great.Overall, it’s a good shop vac and I’m happy with it. I’ve got no major complaints. I just need to get some spare filters to keep on hand. I did post some pictures with the measurements of the included filter.

I have 2. They both broke. You have to ship it to them. It cost $74 to ship it to them. They told me it was dusty. Being dusty voids the warranty. I did not have a great experience with this vacuum or the company. I won’t buy anything from them again.

I had a major plumbing wall leak & ordered this to help with cleanup. It’s lightweight, easy to assemble & has GREAT suction. I think every handyman or woman needs this for their garage or workshop cleanup. I compared features & pricing with other vacs & this was the RIGHT choice for me!

Guys, It is not for home use, especially where carpet is used. It is also so noisy and not good for apartments. It is for construction workers.

I absolutely loved this when it was new. Like any new toy 🤣 sadly it lasted a little over 3 months. It’s used for my house. Not like it’s being used commercially. Stick with the popular brands! They respond to you unlike this company.

I needed a new shop vac because the one I had stopped functioning after years of use, and this one appeared to meet all the criteria I desired, including a metal container. As a nine-gallon larger-sized vacuum, it does not need to be emptied as frequently as smaller ones.It is easy to use if you are close to an electrical receptacle or if you have an extension cord, as its cord is on the shorter side and therefore cannot extend too far. The design is subpar, but the functionality is outstanding. It has a lot of power and suction, cleans messes quickly and easily, and is effective in both wet and arid situations.

No argument with the suction and portability of this vacuum, but there are some issues. The new vac has had minimal use over the month I've owned it, but the flexible hose already broke at the end that connects with the rigid hose. It's duct taped and works fine, but not quite the quality I expected. Unit also does not come with a brush and the length of the rigid hoses is too short, so, at six foot tall, I am constantly leaning to make contact with the floor. Storage technique of ringing the top of the vac with implements ensures they get knocked off as you move around and sweep and wrapping the hose around the same area is ineffective--it just uncoils and slumps to the floor.

Strong, powerful vacuum that gets the grime out of your carpets in almost NO TIME!! I do not think I could be happier with this purchase

I compared it to a 20+ year old Craftsman. Suction is great, hose diameter is smaller vs a 3" diameter tubing set that came with my Craftsman. So it will plug when sucking up larger items like leaves. It rolls easily, but has a short power cord. Biggest gripe is the plastic clips holding the main hose. They just don't provide a stable way to store the hose. The extension tubes clip on the top of the unit and fall off easily while moving it. This is a good unit to have as a spare, but for large jobs, I would look further.

I haven't had occasion to really use this vac. So far, I've tried it out by vacuuming my garage floor, which it did a great job on.So, my limited take so far:- It's powerful.- It's well-made.- It's easy to put assemble.- It rolls easily.- The onboard hose storage is terrible. I got frustrated beyond belief trying to get that to work reliably.So far, then, so good. Honestly, I haven't yet had a wet/dry vac that had good tool and hose storage. This one isn't any better than the ones I've had from big box stores, but it's still a worthwhile option.

I was right in the middle of a major remodeling job when this shop vac arrived several weeks ago and I put it right to work. This Koblenz Contractor Wet/Dry Vac is a veritable beast. It sucked the old loose insulation, along with old nails, and screws out of the walls and ceilings in record time. When it came time to demolish the old lath and plaster walls, it made quick work of that as well. This vac is a powerhouse with its 5.5 HP motor. It even connected to my contractor table saw making a great portable dust collector. When it came time to sand the new drywall, it connected to my drywall sander, sucking up 90 percent of the dust. As hard as I pushed it, I couldn’t get it to falter. The only time it stalled was when it tried to suck up something too big to fit through the hose.This Koblenz Contractor Wet/Dry Vac is a solid investment at $89.00. I have used contractor vacuums costing 2 to 3 times that amount that didn’t do the job that this one has done with ease. Koblentz is so confident in the quality and durability of their shop vac that it comes with a limited lifetime warranty and you can’t do better than that. If you need a shop vac, you will want to invest in this one.

This shop vac seems well made and equivalent to more popular brand vacs. This small shop vac has big suction and blow power. Attachments fall off their storage hooks easily. Love that it has a hook to store the hose. It does not have a place to wrap and store its power cord.

I was not familiar with this brand when I got this vac, but boy am I a fan now.I use this vac for a variety of purposes, both wet and dry. It is outstanding for vacuuming out our vehicles as well as cleaning up around the shop after doing some woodworking. It makes short work of everything that I have needed to clean up.I really like the wide base design, making it far more tip-resistant that some other vacs that I have had over the years. It is very maneuverable and rolls with ease. At 5.5HP, it's got plenty of gusto to pick up most everything you throw at it. Surprisingly, even at that horsepower, this unit is quieter than most others that I have had in the same power range. At 1 7/8", the hose is slightly smaller in diameter than some models, but I don't think I have ever tried to vacuum up anything that big anyway. It does have the option of being a blower as well by switching the hose around, but I have never had the need to try that capability. It comes with a nice variety of attachments, but I do wish that it had the ability to store them all on the unit.All in all, I find that this is an excellent unit and a very reasonable price. I have zero regrets with this purchase.

This vac has a lot going for it: good power, lighter than most at this power level, and easy to operate wet or dry. The problems I have with it are pretty subtle: small wheels, light plastic construction throughout, and no brush attachment.Check out my video for a look at how it works in action.

Vacuum seems well made, should hold up to shop duty.It includes all the right parts, as long as their all there, keep reading.The hose on this is of the smaller diameter type, 1 7/8", where my old shop vacuum had a 3" diameter hose, I tested this briefly, the suction was awesome, however I hope it holds up to the tougher jobs and larger chunks of debris like my older one did, time will tell.The issue I had is that it shipped only in the original manufacturer box, not inside another box, it wasn't in any protective carton, so it arrived with part of the seam on the box split open and I was actually missing 2 parts, attachments to the hose that luckily I really never use, but this could have been avoided by shipping it inside another box. Otherwise, it seems like a durable little workhorse.

Never really heard of the brand.Nice size and seems sturdy.i hope I can find the filter when its time to replace it.
